Home Care Services for Families in AHCA Region 6
We provide licensed, non-skilled home care designed to help your loved one live safely and comfortably at home.
Companion & Care Services LLC is a licensed Florida home health agency providing a full range of non-skilled home care services. We serve families across Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, Hardee, and Highlands counties under AHCA Region 6.
All services are provided by caregivers who have passed Level 2 background screening and hold current CPR and First Aid certification.
Personal Care
We provide hands-on assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Our caregivers work with sensitivity and respect to protect each client’s dignity during personal routines.
Individuals who need hands-on support with daily hygiene and personal routines while remaining safely at home.
Homemaker Services
Our homemakers help with laundry, light housekeeping, grocery errands, and keeping the home organized. A clean, orderly home reduces fall risks and supports overall well-being.
Clients who manage personal care themselves but need help keeping the household running safely and in order.
Companion Care
Loneliness has real health consequences for older adults. Our companions provide conversation, social engagement, recreational activities, and emotional support to keep clients mentally and socially active.
Adults who live alone or spend long stretches of the day without company and need consistent social contact.
Respite Care
Family caregivers need rest too. We step in on a scheduled or emergency basis so you can take a break, handle your own responsibilities, or simply recover. Your loved one stays safe. You get a moment to breathe.

Medication Reminders
We help clients stay on schedule with their prescribed medications by providing timely, consistent reminders. Please note: our caregivers do not administer medications. This service supports clients who manage their own medications independently.

Mobility Assistance
We assist clients with safe movement throughout the home, including getting in and out of bed, walking between rooms, and performing transfers. Our caregivers follow safety protocols to reduce fall risk at every step.

Alzheimer's & Dementia Care
Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia requires patience, structure, and specialized knowledge. Our caregivers are trained to support clients with memory impairment through consistent routines, calm communication, and activity engagement that matches their current abilities.

Meal Preparation
Our caregivers prepare fresh, nutritious meals based on each client’s preferences and dietary requirements. We handle grocery lists, cooking, and kitchen cleanup so clients eat well without effort.

Light Housekeeping
We perform regular cleaning of living spaces, bathrooms, and kitchens to maintain a safe and sanitary home environment. This includes vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and surface disinfecting.

Private Pay. No Medicaid Required. Start Within 72 Hours.
Companion & Care Services works directly with families who pay out of pocket. You do not need Medicaid approval to get started, and there is no waiting period. We accept payment from a single family member or split across multiple payers.
Many families also use long-term care insurance, VA Aid and Attendance benefits, or a combination of savings and family contributions. If your situation changes and you later qualify for Florida Medicaid, care continues with the same caregiver.
